Windrush 65 is an event celebrating 65 years of the first "West Indians" coming to Britain on June 22nd at Tilbury Essex 1948 on the SS Windrush . We are acknowledging and celebrating our presence in Preston. Cricket was the sport that broke down a lot of barriers and helped the community to integrate. We are celebrating with a 20/20 cricket match, Lancashire's finest Dj's Des Grant, LJ, Slen Dagga, and Special Guest Singer /Song writer Stephen Bayliss. Preston Steel Connection - Steel Band. Some of the Carnival Troops will be there too, displaying their costumes Everyone is welcome, this is a Preston Community Event. Sunday 11 August at Preston Cricket Club from 12 pm to 4 pm.
